JNP Aviation Limited requires a Safety Manager based at the Whakatane Airport

Join our small team in Whakatane

Duties which may include:

• Managing Aviation Health & Safety at Whakatane Airport
• Safety Management System (SMS) management and administration
• Safety Audits
• Safety Communication
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Safety Reporting and Analysis
• Safety System Administration
• Airport Operations Work at Whakatane Airport
• Runway Inspections
• Wildlife Control
• Contractor Supervision
• Vegetation control

All uniforms and full training will be provided

Hours: Part Time – 20 hours - Permanent

Position Requirements:

• Current NZ Driver’s License (essential)
• Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice Clearance
• Must meet Civil Aviation Authority requirements and pass a CAA Senior Person Interview
• A full medical including Drug testing
• Be legally able to work in New Zealand
• Firearms License (preferred)
• Health & Safety Knowledge (essential)
• Experience & knowledge of Civil Aviation Part 100 Safety Management Systems (SMS) (preferred)
• Previous Aviation Experience (beneficial)
• Flight Radio Telephone Operator preferred or Radio Communications Experience (beneficial)

An ability to understand complex technical documents, and ability to understand and administer software systems for the Whakatane Airport Aviation Health & Safety
