After the move of our training aircraft (ATR-72 500) in front of the Airport Fire Station on the apron at Tauranga Airport, the ATR has provided a real life training environment for several training simulations, including elevated platform training and different training scenarios for Rescue Fire. This provides a valuable opportunity to train team members to build and improve skills for emergencies.
Recently, the aircraft has been moved back to the location at Classic Flyers. The move between both locations is planned more frequently to support the expanding needs for real-world training purposes within the Bay of Plenty.
